Course Description

The town-based alpine ski skills course is built to set skiers up with the skills they need to safely execute a crevasse rescue and learn the fundamentals of snow anchors and snow safety. Day 1 will cover the crevasse rescue skill in a 1 on 1 or team rescue scenario with mechanical advantage. On day 2 participants will ski a small objective and practice the newly learned rope and anchor skills. This is an essential course before travelling on glaciated terrain. This course has a 2-person minimum and if the minimum is not reached BMG reserves the right to cancel the course with a 10- day notice.
